Hope.

Hope is the worst word in the world.

I used to think it was “dead” or perhaps “betrayed”

But I was wrong. It is hope.

Because she carries you through the toughest of times.

Hope makes you think that she’s one of the good guys

But she only gives you strength during the dark days

So that she can ditch you in the dirt

At your worst.

When you need Hope most

Where is she?

Across the seas

Sweating in America

Helping children

Abort rapist’s babies

On the bathroom floor

With a coat hanger

So that

They

Don’t

Get

Arrested.
